Not only is piano maintenance important, but also the musical ear must be protected. Constantly listening to an out-of-tune piano may damage the musical ear.
Generally, a piano needs to be tuned at least once a year, but perhaps twice or more, depending on the piano’s conditions. There are many different factors that cause a piano to go out of tune: new or used, light or heavy use, broken strings, moving, climate and many more.
A good piano technician will give you full recommendation regarding your own piano’s needs. In our academy we have professional tuner Mr. Danny (626) 216-3573 who tunes our instruments, and we recommend his tuning services to our students.
